Your Questions
If you need further information about the festival, or any other concerns or queries you may have, please reach us via the Contact Us page.
How early can I arrive at the festival?
The talks begin at 11.00am, but you are welcome to arrive from 10.00am onwards to become familiar with the environment and settle.
What else is there to do?
Aside from our talks and panels, there will be stalls to purchase books and merchandise. There will be workshops for children and young teenagers to take part in. There are opportunities to talk with sensitivity readers, publishers and activists. You are also welcome to explore Birmingham in-between talks.
Can I leave the venue and return?
You are welcome to leave and re-enter the venue as you wish, just ensure that you have your ticket on you at all times because you may be asked to show it to re-enter the building.
I want to volunteer but I also want to attend a talk - is this possible?
When you apply to volunteer we will ask you which talks you would like to see. If we cannot structure your shifts so that you are free we can make it so that you steward at that particular talk.
Can I bring my guide dog / emotional support animal?
Yes, your guide dog/ESA is welcome to attend the festival alongside you.
Where can I find accessibility information?
All information on accessibility can be found here on the Accessibility page.
How do I get a ticket for my carer?
Carer tickets can be booked on the Booking page. Carer tickets will be checked on the door as you enter.
I've purchased a day/weekend ticket, but I can no longer attend in-person. Can I get a refund?
Yes, you are eligible for a partial refund up until 9am 26 / 27 June. When you purchase any of the tickets, you will also have access to the full virtual festival so you don't miss out.
Is there a safe, quiet space for me to retreat to?
