Accessibility 

We have carefully selected a highly accessible venue for (Dis)fable and want to make sure you can still enjoy our event no matter what your disability. Wheelchair and ambulant access

  • Level access entry to front and back of building

  • There are four disabled parking bays located on Cambridge Street. More information on disabled parking can be found on the "Getting Here" page 

  • Blue badge parking is also available at the Brindley Drive car park at the rear of the theatre

  • Doors open on an automated push button or sensor

  • Lifts located close to the entrance and easily identifiable by the blue lobby walls

  • Mirrors in lifts for wheelchair reversing

  • All manual opening doors meet opening resistance parameters

  • Fire fighting evacuation lifts

Visual Access 

  • Colour contrast throughout the building has been carefully considered

  • All glass has markings on it so that it is more easily seen

  • Braille and embossed signs are used on toilets and lift lobbies throughout the building

  • Audio information in lifts

Hearing Access

  • Induction loops (for use by people with hearing aids) available

  • BSL Interpreters available for guest talks

  • Some rooms have infrared hearing enhancements systems, for which we can provide a pendant on request in advance

Assistance Animals

Guide dogs are welcome throughout and can be taken into the entire venue

Family Access

  • There are baby changing facilities in the accessible toilet on the ground floor and in the women's toilets on the mezzanine level, which is accessible by stairs and lift

  • Children's menu available at the on site bar and restaurant, Marmalade
